Maria A. Louka is an associate researcher  of the Section of Theoretical Informatics since 2006. Her current interests are in the area of Numerical Linear Algebra and especially in the area of Iterative methods for the numerical solution of large linear algebraic systems of equations. Furthermore, she has occupied with the parallel numerical solution of Partial Differential Equations and their implementation using distributed parallel machines using MPI and GPUs. She is also research assistant of the Parallel Scientific Computing Laboratory (PSCL), Department of Informatics, University of Athens, Greece.
