Short Bio

B.Sc. in Mathematics, Department of Mathematics at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA, 1980), M.Sc. Department of Mathematics (UoA, 1982), Ph.D. Department of Informatics and Telecommunications (UoA, 1994). Currently he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications (Section of Theoretical Informatics, UoA).

His main experience focuses in the area of Parallel Scientific Computing. In particular, his primary research interests lie in the areas of i) development of parallel direct methods for the solution of linear systems, ii) development of parallel iterative methods and iii) study of load balancing in weather prediction numerical models. He has worked in national and EU-funded projects: "KAPODISTRIAS (2002-09)" and "(EPEAEK-II)-PYTHAGORAS (2004-2008)".
